The three Spider-Man films set new opening day records not only in the United States but also to other countries as well. The films are at the top of the domestic rankings of films based on Marvel comics, with Spider-Man ranking first, Spider-Man 2 ranking second, and Spider-Man 3 ranking third. The three movies are respectively the most successful films produced by Sony / Columbia.
