  Peter Benjamin Parker is introduced as an orphaned science whiz kid teenager living with his aunt and uncle in the Forest Hills section of New York City. A brilliant student but always the subject of mockery by his peers. One day he gets bitten by a radioactive spider during a science demonstration and gains spider-like powers such as super-strength and the ability to climb walls. Peter’s own cleverness enables him to develop gadgets that fire webbing.

  As Spider-Man, he learned that with great power comes great responsibility as he committed himself to become a vigilante. After his uncle’s death, Peter and his Aunt May become had a hard time earning money, so he gets a job as a photographer at the Daily Bugle selling photos to J. Jonah Jameson (J. stands for John).

  Enemies always endanger his loved ones, such as the tragic death of his girlfriend Gwen Stacy in the hands of Green Goblin. Though still haunted by her death, Spider-Man eventually married Mary Jane Watson. His marriage to Mary Jane and public unmasking brought more problems as he continues to fight off all the threats to humanity.

  The much awaited Spiderman 3 movie has cast its web in movie theaters worldwide. Moviegoers were amazed of the breathtaking actions of Spiderman against his nemesis. With the presence of notable stars Topher Grace and Thomas Haden Church (portraying antagonists Venom and Sandman, respectively) would definitely give our superhero a blast to beat. This movie’s powerhouse cast, which includes previous Spiderman movie characters would find its way as the top grosser of all time.

  Most of the villains who have appeared in the Spiderman movies have mainly been the ones who appeared on Spiderman comics. Hydroman was created after the likes of Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Sandman. As a visual effect, Hydroman would not be very impressive since he has too much in common with Sandman. They have similar origins, their powers are quite alike and both eschew costumes as they prefer casual clothing.

  Spiderman, Tobey Maguire has surprise his fans when he revealed that ‘Spider-Man 3′ might be his last movie in the action-hero series. According to an interview, the actor said: Spider-Man 3 might be a good place for him to stop as he is not tied contractually to do any more ‘Spider-Man’ movies. Although he is not completely closed to the idea of another Spiderman movie but said that the odds were in favour of having the part three as the last one.

  It was in 1962 when a young cartoonist named Stan Lee came up with an idea for a new comic superhero. He wanted to project a character with an unlikely figure, a teen you would expect to be the last kid picked for sports–Peter Parker was just right for the role, not a typical hero.

  Rejected by Marvel Comics, Stan Lee persisted in selling the idea of Spiderman using “Amazing Fantasy” as its title but after a few years it became “The Amazing Spiderman.” Spiderman became the first movie in history to earn $100million in its opening weekend while the second movie of the Spiderman series earned $88million in its opening weekend.

  If enormous profits and critical acclaim weren’t enough, Spiderman 3 will become the most expensive movie ever made, beating the previous record of King Kong’s $207million by an enormous margin. It seems with the enormous budget of having new villains and mind-blowing visual effects, Spiderman 3 will surpass the first two installments, but blow them away entirely.

• More Spiderman Movies ‘Confirmed’

  Sony Pictures have plans to extend the series to three more movies after the first three Spiderman movies had brought enormous profit for the movie outfit. With the current success of the movies it seems inevitable that there would be more for the Spiderman fans. Sony plans to release Spider-Man 4 in the summer of 2010, the studio also decided to limit the scope of the film to two villains per movie.

  People who loves computer games are by and large also comic book fans. They find superhero characters as icons in beating up bad guys and villains. Ah, but there’s that other kind of super-hero movie, the big-budget one. The undisputed top grosser of the current era is Spiderman. Interestingly, gamers avoids these big-budget numbers out of a sense that these movies aren’t really made “for them”, and that even more awful liberties than the usual will be taken with their beloved comic superhero.

  A marvel comic superhero that was turned into a film last 2002. It was followed by 2 sequels. starred by, Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker (Spiderman), Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson and James Franco as Harry Osborne (Peter Parker’s best friend). Also in the movie was Willem Wafoe, who played the role of Norman Osborne who also became the Green Goblin. Was released by Columbia Pictures and broke box-office records that year (2002). Then came the first sequel, Spiderman 2 on 2004. won an academay award for “Best visual effects” and grossed over $783 million worldwide. In this movie was alfred molina who played Dr. Otto Octavius who in the latter part of the movie became “Doctor Octopus”.
  The 2nd sequel (Spiderman 3) was released in 2007. It became became the most successful film compared to the first two and stands 2nd to “The dark knight” as the highest grossing superhero film. Other characters in this movie are Thomas Haden Church, who played the role of Flint Marko who also played the role of the “Sandman” and Topher Grace, starred as Eddie Brock who later became the “Venom”.

  Spider-Man 2 on the PS2/Xbox nonetheless stands as one of the best superhero games yet. It gave you all of the powers of the hero along with a huge city to use them in. With Spider-Man 3 hitting next gen consoles, it wasn’t unreasonable to expect improvements over SM2 to make this the best superhero game yet. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. Glitches, lazy game design, and an unmistakable feeling that the game was rushed to meet the day-and-date deadline of the movie drag Spider-Man 3 down from one of the potential all time greats down to mere bargain bin fodder.

  Similar to the Spider-Man 2 game before it, Spider-Man 3 is an open world “sandbox” game where you are free to swing, jump, and crawl around New York City any way you want. As you play you earn new moves and abilities and combos that allow you to travel around faster as well as fight more effectively. There are ten different storylines you can play through which have you doing things like fighting gangs and classic Spider-Man villains as well as follow the main storyline from the movie itself. In addition, there are races spread throughout the city as well as hidden tokens to find. There is a ton of stuff to do in Spider-Man 3 in addition to the time you’ll likely spend just swinging around, so you can easily spend a good 15-20 hours with it in order to complete everything.

Sony launched Spider-Man in 2002, continued with Spider-Man 2 in 2004, and became a trilogy with the release of Spider-Man 3 in 2007. Throughout the films, Spider-Man developed a relationship with his long-time school crush Mary Jane Watson, portrayed by Kirsten Dunst. He has battled the villains such as the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, New Goblin, Sandman, and Venom throughout the series and with the the films’ story lines have been concluded, the studio plans to develop more films and continue the Spider-Man’s adventures.
