    • The release date of Spiderman 3 was already set even before Spiderman 2 came to the big screen.
    • Oscar winner, John Dykstra declined to work on the third film as supervisor for visual effects. He was reported to have opted to work on Hot Wheels. Scott Stokdyk eventually got the job as the visual effects supervisor.
    • Sam Raimi, the film director, actually opposed initial plans of coming up with Venom as the villain in the film, citing Venom’s inhumanity. It was Marvel producer, Avi Arad who convinced him into including Venom in the film because the villain had a massive following worldwide. In the course of the filming, Raimi eventually came to appreciate the character. Admittedly because of a well written script and Topher Grace’s performance of the role.
    • Instead of using real sand, they used ground corn because the vegetable reflected better than sand on camera.
    • One of the security guards supposedly hijacked by Sandman was actually the films producer, Grant Curtis.
