Peter’s Confession, Spiderman 2. The loving relationship between Peter and his Aunt May darkens in the second film when he confessed to her that he had lied about his whereabouts during the night when Uncle Ben died.  Peter admitted that he was at the wrestling match rather than the library, and if he had come back in time Uncle Ben still might be alive.

Who Do You Save?, Spiderman.  This scene was inspired by the classic comic book series although it is radically different from what happened in the comic book.  Nevertheless, the climactic moment of the first Spiderman movie has viewers sitting on the edge of their seats when The Green Goblin forces Spiderman to choose between saving a train car full of children and Mary Jane, both of which he sends to plummet ot their doom.

Spiderman 3 was the 11th highest grossing film during its time, and its fans have been clamoring for more of their web-headed hero.  Sam Raimi, in an interview after Spiderman 3, said that he might not make any more Spidey flicks. It looks as though he’s going to quit while he’s ahead.  According to Raimi, if he can’t find the right story that will work well for him and that he can tell well, he would like someone else to take the reins.  However, if Sony can come up with an excellent story, he would love to do the film.  Raimi also says that it would be hard for him to make a Spidey movie without the leads Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.  If Sony can’t afford to keep the two actors for another collaboration with Raimi, they’re going to have to negotiate to keep Raimi on board but as a producer.

Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard in Spiderman 3) played a huge role in the Spiderman comics and some fans consider her to be Peter Parker’s true love.  In fact, Mary Jane entered Peter Parker’s life only after Gwen was murdered by the Green Goblin.  When Mary Jane fell from the bridge in Spiderman 1, that’s exactly what happened to Gwen, except Spidey wasn’t able to catch her on time.  In Spiderman 3, Gwen is introduced as an innocent girl who doesn’t know that she’s right in the middle of a love triangle – she falls in love with Peter Parker while his arch-enemy Eddie Brock falls for her.

His first movie role was in the 1989 Film The Wizard where he plays a contestant at a video game competition and has no speaking line.
