This sequel to the comic book movie Spiderman is a success simply because it possesses more depth than the first one. Hail to its writers! More than the visual effects and action packed scenes, it is the context of the film that made it stand out from the first one. In Spider-man1 we were introduced with a boy who finds his purpose. In Spider-man 2 this boy turns into a man who faces the challenges of living up to his purpose, that in doing so he has to give up the things he wants most even his dreams. This time it’s a matter of choice, following his heart and seek personal fulfillment or follow what his conscience dictates him as the right thing to do for the good of others. With all these messages contained in this film, the makers of Spider-man were able to connect the unreal persona of Spider-man to the realities of life, that the hero, after all, is a human. Indeed this film should be acclaimed for what it tries to implicate.
